"Not every Carrier or solution is created equal"

When trying to evaluate your Telecom expenses and needs it can get very difficult understanding what you really need and sometimes even what they are talking about.  Often a carrier will label a product with a recognizable name that acts similar to it, but may not meet your daily needs or attempt to push a newer technology that might not have been tested long enough for you to put your companies financials at risk.  Unfortunately the telecommunications landscape changes almost every month, but fortunately for you that's why we are so successful.  Below is a brief summary of the most common business scenario's and what services are usually the best fit.  For a brief glossary click here

Automotive Shop

Voice Needs                                                      Data Needs
1.  1 - 4 calls at one time                                 1.  1 - 4 pc's regular internet browsing
2.  1 Fax line                                                       2.  Must have ability to upload nightly to corporate
3.  Little to no long distance                            3.  Credit Card processing

Solution

There are two different solutions available for this customer.  This client would need at least 5 "POTS" phone lines and a high speed DSL service or 5 available channels on a Dynamic T1.  Cost would be the only major factor in this type of decision and most likely the 5 POTS and DSL which can cost between $250 - $350 or a Dynamic T1 costing between $300 - $500 per month.  Factors that affect our recommendation would be if DSL is available and promotions running the customer can qualify for.

Client's previous set up and concerns

This customer previously had POTS lines and DSL at each location with equipment managing interoffice communication such as voice call transfers or client data retrieval and back up.  The DSL service was at 6Mbs, but was not sending files quickly enough causing repeated delays throughout the day.  Since the interoffice communication was handled by separate equipment they had a rolling Hardware Vendor cost every month increasing their overall spend far greater than expected.

Solution

Integral Choice proposed a Dynamic T1 solution with MPLS layered in.  The T1 was able to provide the customer with all the voice paths they needed and the strength of a T1's steady upload speed.  MPLS was included at a minimal cost increase which gave our client a clean and dependable way to transfer voice and data calls between office utilizing a carrier private network vs. an unmanageable and unpredictable Public Internet gateway.  The end result was a lower cost of service every month and much more functionality and dependability for their office.

After a few weeks of negotiating and qualifying this client's needs with all available carriers we were able to provide them with 4 different Carrier Long Distance PRI connections for voice in case one carrier had a service interruption.  While we saved them a few hundred dollars per month by reducing the PRI cost we really earned our clients faith by reducing their per minute long distance rate over 20% resulting in over $3,000 of monthly savings.  To ensure we kept our client happy and prove our value we then negotiated a International T1 voice and data pipe to their Manila, Philippines office for $7,000 less than any other competitor could offer.   The end result was a satisfied client with over $100,000 in savings per year with our help.
